Personal Branding - How to Stand Out to Employers
March 3rd at 12:00PM

Facilitator: Maggie B. Land

In today's competitive job market, a strong personal brand can set you apart. Join us for a discussion on crafting a compelling personal identity, defining your unique strengths and showcasing your skills to attract the right opportunities.

About the facilitator:

Maggie Land loved watching Steve Irwin on TV as a child and dreamed of becoming a wildlife conservationist. When she learned that he traveled to exotic locations around the world, she aspired to become a flight attendant. After volunteering on weekends, she researched how to start her own charity. She was passionate about exploring different careers, understanding how to become successful, and discovering the various paths people could take in life."

It's no surprise she built a career helping students make their dreams come true.

With over a decade of experience, Maggie currently works as a Career Management Specialist at Rutgers University – Camden. She helps students identify and reach their career goals by creating personalized, targeted plans for success. "You'll often hear her say, 'Show me your resume,' 'Get some experience,' 'Have you done your career research?' and 'Let’s make a plan.'"

Maggie is passionate about diversity and equity in education. She specializes in helping first generation students, neurodivergent students, and students who know they want a career, but don't know where to start.

This session is free for MACCA members, $10 for non-members
